At Clarksville Recovery you keep your job and live your own life. You're out daily from 9 AM to 5 PM working or job searching (unless on disability), and you manage your own schedule and finances. What the home adds is the structure that sobriety depends on: a zero-tolerance substance-free policy, a 10:00 PM curfew, weekly church, 90 meetings in 90 days, and a sponsor within your first 2 weeks.

For a man coming out of treatment or off post, the first weeks are the hardest. Going straight back to the old apartment and the old crowd is what leads to relapse. A supervised home a short drive away gives you a stable place to land, a daily rhythm that gives the day shape, and a brotherhood of men working toward the same goal. Peer accountability check-ins and mentors who are regularly available keep you from sliding back. You sign out when you leave and sign in when you return, and you share chores with the other men in the home.

Each resident has a bed, secure personal storage, a space for food, and room for his belongings, and transportation support is available for work, meetings, and essential appointments. Family can visit on weekends — visiting hours are Saturday and Sunday, 1 PM to 5 PM, with visitors in the living room and common areas only.
